Jordan and Matthew met at a food festival in Prospect Park, when Matthew walked over with his dog to ask for her number.

He proposed by recreating their first date in Brooklyn Heights, ending at the bench on the Brooklyn Promenade where they first kissed. Paris was their first big trip together, and they always said they would elope there one day.
