So Paris it is. The next question is almost always the same: how much should we budget, and where does it go?

The good news is that the budget follows the day you picture, so that is where we start.

As Paris elopement planners, we usually begin with three simple questions:

  1. Is it the two of you alone, or will a few loved ones be there?
  2. Do you picture your vows somewhere in the city or in a private hotel setting?
  3. Do you want a beautiful ceremony and portraits, or a fuller story with getting ready, film and an evening celebration?

Once we know those answers, the budget becomes much easier to understand.

Our Paris elopement packages currently start at 4,400€, and our full collection runs from 4,400€ to 12,000€. Each package gives us a starting point that we can personalize around the two of you. Your hotel, dinner, travel and any private venue are choices we plan around the experience.

There is no honest single “average” that fits every Paris elopement. A photography session, a ceremony with several separately booked vendors and an elopement planned from beginning to end are not the same thing. We would rather help you understand what shapes your budget than give you a number that may have very little to do with the day you imagine.

Tell us how you imagine your day
  • A bride and groom walking hand in hand down a Paris street toward the Eiffel Tower
  • A couple running hand in hand down a tree-lined allée of the Tuileries
  • Nancy and Jason running hand in hand down a tree-lined Paris avenue

Where should you begin with your elopement budget?

Begin with the experience itself. Everything else can grow around it.

Here are useful figures for two people, based on prices we checked in October 2026:

A private suite, salon or terrace for your vows
Quoted by the hotel
Additional ceremony decoration (optional)
350€ to 1,500€ or more
A small cake made for your elopement
Personal quote
Dinner for two in a classic brasserie
80€ to 200€ before wine
An experience-led dinner for two
196€ to 850€
A five-star room for getting ready
From 300€ a night
A room in a Paris palace
1,000€ to 2,000€ a night

These are planning examples, rather than fixed rates or a Paris-wide average. Decoration, hotel and restaurant prices move with the design, date, room, menu and booking conditions.

Your flights, outfits, alterations, insurance, extra nights in Paris and personal shopping also belong in the trip budget. We suggest keeping those separate at first. It lets you see clearly what you are investing in your elopement day and what belongs to the holiday around it.

First, choose how you want the day to feel

Leave the list of vendors for later. Start with how you want the day to feel.

Perhaps you picture vows by the river, a slow walk through the city and Champagne at a little café. Maybe you want to get ready at the Ritz, arrive in a vintage car and celebrate with dinner beneath the Eiffel Tower. One is not more meaningful than the other. They simply lead to different choices.

This is one of our favorite parts of being your wedding planner. You can tell us what you love, even if it is only a feeling, a colour or one photograph, and we help turn it into a day that works beautifully in Paris.

Our Paris elopement packages give you a clear place to start. We then personalize the experience around your story, your priorities and your budget, without asking you to assemble the whole wedding from thousands of miles away.

  • A couple toasting with white wine at a Paris café terrace, pink roses on the table
  • Victoria and Tyler laugh over Champagne and croissants on the terrace of La Frégate
  • A bride and groom in sunglasses in a pink vintage convertible in Paris

Then, decide between a public or private ceremony venue

A public setting: let Paris be your venue

The city already gives you so much: the Seine, elegant streets, quiet gardens and some of the most beautiful Eiffel Tower views. If the two of you want to feel Paris around you, a public outdoor setting can be wonderfully intimate and simple.

Among our favourites are the Eiffel Tower by the Seine, the Tuileries, Île Saint-Louis and Montmartre, each with a mood of its own.

With a public location, we plan around the city rather than reserving the setting exclusively. The place remains open to other people, and the location still needs to suit the time of day, the light, your route and the number of people with you.

This is where knowing Paris by heart makes a difference. We help you choose a place that fits the atmosphere you want, keep the setup appropriate for the setting and build the rest of the timeline around it.

A private venue: Paris behind closed doors

You may prefer a suite, salon, rooftop or terrace where the moment belongs entirely to you. A private setting gives you more control over access, privacy and styling, and it adds a venue cost. The hotel will normally prepare a quote based on your date, the space and how you plan to use it.

We know and work with many of Paris’s most famous venues, as well as hidden gems you may not find on your own. Once we begin planning together, we can introduce you to the places that best fit your celebration.

See how two of our couples made a private venue part of their story in this Shangri-La Paris terrace elopement and this Hotel Marignan rooftop elopement.

Already dreaming of one hotel in particular? Tell us, and we will look into it before the rest of the day takes shape.

Would you like more decoration?

Paris is already a beautiful backdrop, so your ceremony does not need a large installation to feel special. A few flowers placed around the two of you may be enough to give the ceremony its own space and carry the colours of your bouquet into the photographs.

If you dream of something more, keep a separate allowance for additional decoration. As a planning guide, roughly 350€ to 1,500€ or more can cover anything from a few extra flower compositions and candles to a more developed ceremony installation. A floral arch, an abundantly dressed terrace, delivery and a larger setup team can take the budget beyond that range.

The final quote depends on the location, season, flower choices, scale and installation time. Show us the mood you love and tell us where you imagine the ceremony. We can design something that belongs with the setting instead of covering it.

Add a cake if it feels like your celebration

Eloping does not mean leaving every wedding tradition behind. Cutting a cake together can be a sweet pause after the ceremony, a detail for your photographs and something to enjoy later in the day.

For two people, we usually suggest a single-tier or small double-tier cake rather than a traditional wedding cake designed for a large guest list. It can follow the colours and flowers of your elopement, or feel playful and completely different. If cake is not your thing, French pastries or macarons make a beautiful alternative.

Because a custom cake depends on its size, flavour, decoration and delivery, ask for a personal quote rather than relying on a per-slice wedding price. Tell us what you love and we can include the request while we plan your day.

Where should you celebrate after the ceremony?

After the vows and the photographs, where would you love to sit together and say, “We just got married in Paris”?

It could be a classic brasserie full of Parisian energy, a dinner cruise as the city lights come on or a tasting menu inside the Eiffel Tower. We suggest choosing the atmosphere first and checking the current menu for your date second.

A higher price does not automatically make the evening more romantic.

Some couples would choose a tasting menu; others would be happiest with cake and Champagne beside their car by the Seine.

See Champagne by the Tuileries basin in Nancy and Jason’s sunrise elopement, or cake and Champagne on a vintage car in Victoria and Tyler’s Paris elopement. Your celebration should feel like you.

Choose your hotel after the shape of the day is clear

Your hotel matters, but it is usually not the first decision we make. Begin with the experience, ceremony setting and route. Once those pieces are taking shape, we can choose a hotel that supports the morning and keeps travel through Paris comfortable.

The room can become the first chapter of your elopement: hair and makeup by the window, your outfits waiting, a quiet first look, and those excited moments before you leave together.

Our planner’s advice is to look beyond the number of stars. Think about:

  • natural light and enough room to get ready comfortably;
  • a décor that feels like the two of you;
  • permission for the people who need to join you in the room;
  • the travel time to your ceremony and portrait locations;
  • whether you want the room to appear in your photographs or film.

In the October 2026 examples we checked, a five-star room at Hotel Marignan could begin at roughly 300€. Entry rooms at Paris palace hotels generally began around 1,000€ to 2,000€ for the dates shown. Suites, Eiffel Tower views and more flexible booking conditions cost more, and the same room can change considerably with the date.

For inspiration, see Jade and George’s morning at Hotel Marignan and D&D’s elopement at the Ritz Paris.

How much of the day do you want to keep?

When couples ask us how many hours they need, we ask what they want to remember.

Do you want the ceremony and portraits in two favorite places? Would you love photographs of the morning, the first look and the little moments between locations? Do you want to hear your vows again in a film? There is no correct amount of coverage. It should follow the rhythm of your day.

More locations also require more travel time. A relaxed route with room for real moments will always give you more than a race from one backdrop to the next.

Tell your planner about guests from the beginning

Our published packages are designed around the couple. If a few family members or friends will join you, tell us in your very first message.

A handful of guests can already change the right ceremony location, transport, seating, timing and dinner reservation. It does not mean the day has to become complicated. It simply helps us plan accurately from the start and make sure everyone feels part of the experience.

Why do Paris elopement prices online look so different?

This can be confusing when you are just beginning your research. One price may cover only a photography session. Another may bring together a celebrant and a few vendors while leaving you to manage the planning. A private venue may appear in the photographs but be quoted separately.

When you compare two elopement offers, ask:

  • Who helps you plan before you arrive in Paris?
  • Who coordinates the vendors and timeline on the day?
  • How many hours are included, and does travel between locations use that time?
  • Do you love the photographer’s or filmmaker’s style?
  • Is transportation included, and how many people can it carry?
  • Is a private venue included or quoted separately?
  • What happens if the weather or location changes?
  • What are the guest, overtime, rescheduling and cancellation conditions?
  • Is the price current for your date, and are any taxes still to be added?

This is why we keep the current details of our experiences on one page. You can discover our Paris elopement packages and then talk with us about what would make the day yours.

  • An officiant reading as a bride and groom hold hands in a Paris garden

Should you choose a package or plan everything yourself?

You can book every vendor separately. For some couples, researching every detail is part of the fun. Just remember that someone will also need to check availability, manage several conversations and contracts, create a realistic route, and keep everyone on the same page when plans change.

When you choose one of our packages, you have a Paris wedding planner by your side from the first ideas to the elopement day. We help you find the right team, shape the mood and timeline, and coordinate the experience so you can focus on each other.

We do not tell couples that a package is always the cheapest option. Its value is having local knowledge, trusted people and one team taking care of the details, especially when you are planning from abroad.

  • A rooftop terrace set with chairs and candles before a ceremony, the Eiffel Tower beyond
  • A violinist and a cellist playing on a rooftop terrace in Paris
  • A long dinner table laid with white flowers and black ribbon on a rooftop terrace

Our advice: invest in what you will remember

Your elopement does not need every possible extra to feel special.

If privacy matters most, make the private venue a priority. If you want to remember every emotion, give the photography or film enough time to tell the story. If you are coming because you love Paris, let Paris carry the day and leave space in the timeline to enjoy it.

Every couple is different, and every couple brings us a different story. A thoughtful budget supports the experience you care about instead of filling the day with things you do not need.

Paris elopement cost FAQ

How much should we budget to elope in Paris?

Our Paris elopement packages currently start at 4,400€. From there, add the hotel, celebration dinner, travel and any private ceremony venue you choose. We do not use one “average” for every couple because those choices can create very different days.

We have no idea where to start. What should we decide first?

Start with who will be there, how private you want the ceremony to feel and how much of the day you want photographed or filmed. You do not need to choose every location or vendor before contacting us. Helping you turn those first ideas into a plan is our job.

Are our hotel and dinner included?

Your hotel and dinner are personal choices around the elopement experience, so check what is listed in your proposal. The current package details are always available on our elopement packages page.

Can we have our ceremony in a hotel suite or on a private terrace?

Yes, when the hotel approves the plans and the space is available. The hotel will quote the private space for your date. Tell us the atmosphere or hotel you dream of and we can check the possibilities with you.

Can a few guests join us?

Our packages are designed around the couple, but you can ask us about bringing a few loved ones. Let us know from the beginning so we can plan the location, transport and timing around everyone.

Is it cheaper to book every vendor ourselves?

It can be, depending on the vendors and choices you make, but it is not automatic. Planning everything separately also means managing the research, contracts, timing and coordination yourself. A package is the right fit when you want one team to shape the experience and take care of the moving parts.
